DORINDA CLARK COLE SIGNS WITH DONNA VINCI

DORINDA CLARK COLE EXCEPTING SOUL TRAIN AWARD

Last year was a fantastic year with Vickie Winans on hand our 2006 brand spokes model. And once again Donna Vinci delivers the best to its customers with the signing of Songstress Dorinda Clark Cole as our 2007 spokes model.

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Clark Cole began singing at an early age with her sisters Karen, Twinkie, Jacky, and Denise. The sisters sang in their pastor father's church and usually performed songs written and composed by their mother. Clark Cole, who is referred to as the "jazzy sister" of the group, helped develop what is known as "The Clark Sound", which often features high and fast melismas, riffs, runs, and soulful growls.

Clark Cole's self-titled solo debut, released in 2002, won two Stellar Awards and a Soul Train Lady of Soul Award (Best Female Gospel Artist). The album featured the hit single "I'm Coming Out". Her sophomore album, The Rose of Gospel, was released in 2005. The live portions of both albums were produced by Asaph Ward, famous for his work with Kim Burrell who counts Dorinda as well as the Clark Sisters as a direct vocal influence.

In addition to being a recording artist and evangelist, Clark Cole is a prominent figure in the Church of God in Christ, serving as president of the First Ecclesiastical Southwest Jurisdictional No. 1 of the Church of God in Christ and vice-president of the COGIC's International Music Department. She is an administrator and instructor at the Clark Conservatory of Music in Detroit (founded by Mattie Moss Clark in 1979), and is an administrator at the Greater Emmanuel Institutional COGIC, pastored by her brother-in-law, J. Drew Sheard (Karen's husband).

Here's a special note from one of our customers who was affectived by Katrina:

Dear Danny,

In the many years that I have been in business, you have proven to be the most generous, caring and appreciative vendor. When I received your gift it made me cry. My personal and business life has been virtually destroyed. However, you have given me an extraordinary push that will greatly assist me in the recovery process.

Yesterday, I was able to take an order for five hats. Thanks to you, again, for sending me the requested catalogs. I will be calling in an order on Monday. As long as I am involved in the fashion industry, I will remain your loyal customer. God bless you and your business!

Sincerely,
Dolores D.

This message touched our hearts at Donna Vinci because we had a number of customers devastated by Katrina. It has been our goal to assist those loyal customers by offering special incentives and gifts to help them reestablish their businesses. We personally want to thank Dolores for letting us know how we have made a difference in her life. For those effected by Katrina and other natural dissasters, you are in our prayers!
